Hey- What's JOAN BIXLER up TO?

Joan Bixler is delighted to announce her return to Bixler Studios. Joan, a native Washingtonian grew up in and around the city. She remembers as a young child going to the Hotel Washington, and now is exited to have been able to contribute with a specialty finish at the new W Hotel Washington DC, a “Black Random Crackle over a gold base” to the elevators and the Lobby corridors.

She has been in the decorative painting business for over 25 years. She began her business in high end residential with Murals and Trompe L”eoil. Now she finds herself settled into the high end commercial and hospitality market. Recently, she was working on and just finished three elevator lobbies at 600 14th Street, NW-- “The old Garfinkle/Herman Miller building.” There she did a six color application of white and metallic pearl on torn Pieces of paper which when it was finished will have a beautiful look of white stone.

Her next project….shhhhh!!! has something to do with painting on the back of glass panels to simulate yellow onyx.
With a cadre of talented artists she is ready to handle any job you throw at her.
